Come and join a stable, long term contract where you can make a difference working on the Waimakariri District Council Road Maintenance network!

We are after someone to come and fill this critical role leading the team and being hands on performing inspections and repairs to the roading network. A day in your life in this role could be a combination of undertaking routine network inspections, completing pothole repairs, response to weather events, maintaining and installing signage, vegetation control, or clearing culverts – all this and more helps to keep the roads safe and accessible.

This role enables you to have a high level of ownership, and job satisfaction and to be responsible for your day to day planning of activities. You will be someone who can work quickly and efficiently while delivering quality work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use technology on the go is an absolute must.

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Experience leading a team within the roading or construction industry
  • Class 1 & 2 Driver Licence
  • STMS Practising
  • WTR endorsements
  • Physically fit and self-motivated
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
