Due to growth, we have a newly established role for a Health & Safety Advisor who is looking for their next challenge in handling our subcontractor management and supporting the rest of the health, safety & environmental team!
What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu
You will be someone who has a passion for workplace health and safety and possesses a good working knowledge of relevant legislation. Ideally, you’ll have a tertiary qualification in health and safety or relevant industry experience and candidates who have experience working in civil construction, road engineering or similar industry will be looked at favourably.
To be successful in this position, you will work collaboratively with subcontractors to drive and deliver positive health and safety outcomes that are fit for purpose. You will focus on building competency around critical risks and have solid experience with health and safety management systems and plans, and it goes without saying that you’ll have excellent communication skills.
This is a critical role that enables the successful applicant to have a high level of ownership, job satisfaction, and responsibility for their day-to-day activities. You will be proactive, take a hands-on approach to any task, and be able to deliver results in an operational environment.
