Spring is on its way and our Parks & Reserves team is as busy as ever. To assist in our busy forward work program, we are currently looking for an experienced Leading Hand with strong leadership and management skills to come and join our team.

You will be someone who knows how to motivate your team to work to a high standard and share in the successes of your team’s efforts. It is important that you are hands on when required and for the purpose of mentoring other team members.

This role involves using a wide variety of mowers, small plant, and specialised turf equipment. You will be responsible for the general upkeep of the equipment being used and for completing work to contract specifications on a scheduled and reactive basis.

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Experience leading a team within the industry
  • Qualification in Turf Management (Level 3) or above
  • Full class 1 driver’s licence and WTR endorsements
  • Growsafe certificate (desirable)
  • TMO ticket (desirable)
