Come and join a stable, long term contract where you can make a difference working on the Hurunui District Council Road Maintenance network!

We are after someone to come and fill this critical role performing inspections and repairs to the roading network. A day in your life in this role could be anything from undertaking repairs, response to weather events, routine network inspections, maintaining and installing signage, vegetation control, spot metaling potholes, or clearing culverts – all this and more helps to keep the roads safe and accessible.

This role enables you to have a high level of ownership, and job satisfaction and to be responsible for your day to day activities. You will be someone who can work quickly and efficiently while delivering quality work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to use technology on the go is an absolute must.

  • Class 1 & 2 Driver Licence (essential)
  • STMS (essential)
  • WTR endorsements (desirable)
