Due to an exciting period of growth, we are expanding our team and looking for a Survey Technician/Draftsperson to support our upcoming projects and ensure top-quality results.
As a Survey Technician/Draftsperson, you will be integral to both field and office operations. Fieldwork will involve assisting with site control, operating Trimble GPS, total station and scanning equipment, and collecting data for as-built and set-out works. In the office, you will create technical drawings using survey software, ensure data accuracy, and work closely with senior surveyors and project managers to meet project standards. This role focuses on delivering precision, quality, and compliance across all surveying and drafting tasks.
What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu
To excel in this role, you will bring a strong surveying background along with the following qualifications and experience:
- A National Certificate in Surveying (Level 3), Drafting, or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in surveying and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d or Trimble Business Centre
- Experience with GPS, Total Stations, Scanners, UAV’s or other modern surveying equipment
- Knowledge of basic surveying methods, land surveying principles, and safety protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail, teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience in a combined surveying and drafting role is advantageous.
