We have one of the largest horizontal infrastructure teams in the South Island, working in the maintenance, civil, and water industry.

The work we do strengthens the communities we work and play in, with several key long-term maintenance contracts throughout the Canterbury region and a number of civil projects currently underway across the South Island.

About the role | Ko te Kaupapa

With ongoing growth, and with our current HR Coordinator stepping into an HR Advisor role, we are looking for an experienced and detail focused HR Coordinator to join our team.
This role ensures HR systems, processes and documentation are accurate and compliant across the employee lifecycle, while supporting the team in the delivery of efficient HR operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate processing of data and documentation for hires, movements, and terminations
  • Meticulous management of personnel files, reporting and general record keeping
  • Providing first level HR support and escalating matters when required
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Proven administration experience with strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HR processes and NZ employment legislation
  • Experience with HRIS/document management systems (ELMO an advantage)
  • Strong written communication, documentation, and data entry capability
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

A relevant HR or business qualification, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
