About the role | Ko te kaupapa
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Foreman – Landscaping & Planting to join our Parks & Reserves team based in Rolleston.
In this role, you’ll lead a small team, overseeing landscaping and planting projects to ensure top-quality results. You’ll be hands-on when needed and support your crew to get the best out of every project. Working closely with the Horticultural Contract Supervisor, you’ll help manage project budgets, workflow, and resources to keep everything running smoothly.
Key tasks include:
- Managing jobs from quoting to completion
- Working closely with clients to make sure they’re satisfied with the results
- Keeping projects on time and within budget
- Organising workflow and resources for maximum efficiency
- Maintain high health & safety standards
You’ll play a key role in keeping Selwyn’s parks and reserves looking great as the district continues to grow. This means working on a variety of projects that help create and maintain beautiful, functional green spaces for the community to enjoy.

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- Experience in managing dayworks, landscaping, and planting projects
- Qualification in Amenity / Landscapes Horticulture (Level 4) (Desirable)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Full class 1 driver’s licence
- Growsafe certificate
- STMS ticket(Desirable)
