About the role | Ko te kaupapa

We have a busy forward work program and are seeking experienced Leading Hands to join our team. Whether your skills lie in Three Waters or Civil Construction, we’ve got projects lined up that need your expertise and leadership.

Three Waters Leading Hand
You’ll need:

  • A solid understanding of three waters networks.
  • Experience in pipelaying, backfilling, and compaction.
  • Skills working in trenches and performing service connections.

Civil Construction Leading Hand
You’ll bring:

  • Broad experience in roading, earthworks, and footpath preparation.
  • Skills in kerb and channel work, formwork, and boxing.
  • Competent operating small plant and ideally, minor drainage experience.

As a Leading Hand, you’ll manage and oversee projects, interpret plans, meet production targets, and communicate effectively. Leadership experience, including training and mentoring team members, is essential to succeed and grow within our business.

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Experience leading and motivating a team
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the drainage, water or civil industries
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 4 Water Reticulation Certificate)
  • Full Class 1 Licence (essential)
  • Class 2-4 Licence (preferred)
  • WTR Endorsements (essential)
  • Physically fit and self-motivated
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
