About the role | Ko te kaupapa

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Mower Operator / General Hand to come and join our Parks & Reserves team based in Rolleston. This role is all about delivering top-notch results using a variety of mowers, small machinery, and equipment. From maintaining lush turf and handling vegetation control to horticultural spraying and line trimming, your work will be varied and rewarding. As part of the role, you’ll also ensure all equipment is maintained in tip-top shape while meeting contract standards on both scheduled and reactive tasks.

You will be someone who has a background in mowing and equipment handling and genuinely takes pride in a job well done. You will have strong attention to detail, enjoy working in a team environment, and be dedicated to providing a high level of service.

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Hands-on experience with a variety of mowers and small plant equipment
  • A full Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
  • Growsafe certification and WTR endorsements (a bonus, but we can help you get there)
  • A good level of fitness and a self-starter attitude
  • Health and safety awareness and team spirit
