We are on the lookout for a Site Engineer to join our skilled and dedicated team working on a range of projects across the Canterbury region.
Whether your background is in Structures, Civil, or Three Waters, this is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects that support our communities. You’ll play a key role in supporting project delivery, working closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. Depending on the scale and complexity of the project, you’ll either take the lead or assist senior staff with planning, coordination, and execution.
We are looking for someone who can adapt to changing site conditions, lead by example, and approach every project with initiative and drive.
What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and health & safety
- Experience working on civil, structural, or water infrastructure projects
- A team-focused mindset and the ability to lead and motivate crews
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Able to stay calm under pressure, think strategically, and not afraid to bring fresh ideas to the table
