We are looking for a motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead our Sexton, Facilities, and Trades teams within our Parks & Reserves division. Based in Rolleston, this role supports operations across the wider Selwyn District.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys variety, takes pride in public spaces, and excels at bringing out the best in their team, guiding them to ensure our facilities operate efficiently and look their best.

As a key leader within the Parks and Reserves team, you will:

  • Lead and support the Sexton team, ensuring burials are carried out with professionalism, care, and respect.
  • Manage the Facilities Cleaning Team responsible for keeping public toilets clean and rubbish bins cleared across our sites.
  • Supervise our Trades Team of handypeople who carry out general maintenance and repairs across our facilities.
  • Oversee small-scale improvement projects in parks and public spaces, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate daily work plans, allocate resources, liaise with contractors and clients, and ensure all work meets our standards for quality, safety, and community care.

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

We are looking for someone who is confident, capable, a great communicator, and who leads by example. Ideally, you will bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Class 1 Driver Licence
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
