What’s the opportunity | He aha te whai waahi

We are looking for a detail-focused Wastewater Process Operator to develop and implement operational processes and procedures to keep us compliant with the C1241 Contract, consent conditions, and compliance requirements. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a minimum of 40 hours per week, with a wage band of $25.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

This position is key to helping maintain efficient wastewater treatment operations and ensuring environmental and contractual standards are consistently met.

As a Wastewater Process Operator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in reviewing consents and developing and maintaining processes and procedures to meet consent requirements
  • Supporting the review, maintenance, and development of reporting requirements related to contract and consent obligations
  • Evaluating current processes to ensure best practice alignment with contract, consent, and industry standards
  • Conducting process audits to verify compliance with contract and consent conditions
  • Monitoring scheduled work monthly to ensure targets and obligations are met
  • Assisting with the review of management plans and bylaws to confirm ongoing compliance 

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • National Diploma in Wastewater Treatment or higher, or currently working towards this qualification (essential)
  • Prior experience working in wastewater treatment operations, with a good understanding of treatment processes, consents, and compliance requirements (essential)
  • Class 1 Driver Licence (essential)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Health and Safety conscious with a positive attitude
