The Stage 3 development runs parallel between Lakeside Road and the lake edge between Bullock Creek and the Yacht Club entrance, a 440m stretch of council owned land. The area is a long narrow section of the lake edge that was largely unused, inaccessible and had several conflicts between different modes of movement across the site. It also featured the critical nesting of local birdlife requiring careful planning and management throughout the entire process. Due to the success of the project, the breeding season ended up being the best in decades.
