Ready to make your mark on Canterbury’s infrastructure projects? We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the CORDE civil construction team, based at our Head Office in Rolleston and reporting to the Civil Manager.

You’ll lead projects from planning through to completion, taking ownership of cost, time, quality and safety, while working alongside a talented and supportive team. If you enjoy building strong relationships, finding smart solutions and seeing your work make a real difference to our communities, you’ll feel right at home at CORDE.

What you’ll do | Ko ngā mahi

  • Lead the delivery of civil construction projects in line with contract requirements
  • Develop and manage project management plans, programmes, risk registers, ITPs and HS&E plans
  • Manage budgets, monthly forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting
  • Prepare and manage progress claims, variations and extensions of time
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, and coordinate people and plant with our operations teams
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, engineers and local authorities
  • Lead safety on site through visible leadership, toolbox talks and engagement with field teams
  • Coach and develop team members

What you’ll bring | Ko ngā pukenga ōu

  • Proven project management experience in civil infrastructure, ideally across greenfield developments, bridges, retaining structures or similar
  • A tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction (desirable)
  • Solid understanding of commercial contracts, NZS 3910 and local authority standards
  • Strong knowledge of the Canterbury market and established local networks
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and a genuine sense of ownership
  • Natural people leadership and excellent communication skills
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards
