Privacy Declaration

This Privacy Declaration sets out how CORDE’s mobile application collects, uses, retains, and shares personal information, including location data. It is issued in accordance with CORDE’s Privacy Policy, which sets out our overarching commitments under the Privacy Act 2020. This declaration provides app-specific detail and should be read in conjunction with the CORDE Privacy Policy available at
corde.nz/privacy-policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

Location Information: GPS coordinates, worksite arrival and completion points, device location for navigation and asset positioning, and background location data when the app is running.
Account and Contact Information: Name, role, contact details, login credentials, and related identifiers.
Device and Technical Information: Device type, operating system, app usage data, and connection information.
Work-related Information: Attendance, task records, asset interaction history, and compliance data.

Individual means a natural person, other than a deceased natural person

Personal information means information about an identifiable individual.

Purpose of Collection

We only collect information necessary to operate the application and provide services. This includes:

Verifying employee attendance at designated worksites.
Providing navigation and asset location services.
Generating work completion and compliance reports.
Supporting asset management and maintenance records.
Fulfilling contractual and legal obligations.

How Information Is Collected

Through device GPS and network-based services.
In real time when using relevant features.
In the background when the app is running (to support work logging).
Via secure authentication, user input, and system logs.

User Control Options

Location services can be disabled in device settings (noting that this may restrict core app functionality).
Users can choose location accuracy levels (high or low).
Background location access can be disabled in device settings.
Users may request access to, or correction of, their personal information by contacting us.

Data Retention

Personal and location data is retained for the duration of the contract or work engagement between CORDE and its partner, including compliance and record-keeping obligations linked to that contract.
Data may be retained beyond contract conclusion if required by law.
Records are stored securely and managed in line with CORDE’s internal policies.

Data Sharing

Personal and location data is shared only with authorised internal systems and supervisors.
Limited technical sharing occurs with Google Maps API services to enable functionality.
Data is not sold to third parties and is never used for advertising or marketing.

Security and Storage

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure. Information is stored securely on controlled systems in accordance with legal and contractual requirements.
